It's our hope that you have an effortless experience utilizing the Capture App while out capturing. However, in some instances you may run into a technical error that prevents you from capturing or publishing a tour. Use this as a reference for common app errors and how to resolve them.


Assessing a problem

While everyone may all be utilizing the same Capture App, there are a myriad of factors that can come into play and create unique issues for different users. From a support perspective, we want to be able to solve the issue as quickly and efficiently as possible, which will require some awareness as to the steps that occurred before you encountered the problem. We also need to be able to replicate this issue on our end, so giving us insight into all the factors that could be impacting your App are a huge help into solving any bugs you may experience.

If you encounter a bug, please note the conditions that you were in at the time, what actions you took beforehand, and then follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue. Screenshots of any errors/glitches you see on screen are a huge help as well so please collect those and share them with the Community Manager.

Support Steps:

  1. Verify your Phone Settings
    1. Are the privacy settings correct?
      1. Network Settings
      2. Capture App Privacy Settings
  2. Verify the Camera Settings (see Camera Support)
    1. Is the Firmware up to date?
    2. Is the Memory full on the Camera?
      1. Only delete your camera’s memory if you are sure that all your previous tours have uploaded successfully
    3. Did you try a hard reset of the camera?
  3. Verify the Capture App Settings
    1. Do you have access to the correct Licensee/Customer account?
    2. Do you have your Network Settings in the App set to Upload via: Wifi & Cellular?
  4. Force close the Capture App and reopen
  5. Uninstall the App and Reinstall THIS WILL DELETE ALL UNPUBLISHED TOURS
    1. This is a last resort option if the steps above have not elicited a fix. Only delete the App if you’re sure all your captured content has been published. If you’re not sure, contact the Community Manager for help.
